Foxwood opens new 50,000-square-foot casino in Connecticut with 400+ slots

Following years of construction and finalizing details, Foxwoods Resort Casino finally got to celebrate the grand opening of its newest expansion on Tuesday, The Pequot Woodlands Casino.

Spanning 50,000 square feet, the casino will house more than 430 new slot machines, along with a slot bar named Truth Searcher featuring 40 seats. Additionally, the establishment will feature 24 table games, a high limit slot room with 130 machines, a public bar, and a casino cage, as outlined in an official news release.

“We are proud to open our Pequot Woodlands Casino, one of the most significant property updates we have made in recent years,” said Jason Guyot following the extension’s opening.

“This incredible achievement speaks volumes about Foxwoods’ growth and innovation over the past year, as we continue to focus on offering our guests world-class amenities.” He continued. “We are excited for our guests to experience this dynamic new gaming area, right in the heart of the resort.”

The casino will be located in the Grand Pequot Concours, where visitors will not only be able to enjoy a phantastic gaming atmosphere but will also enjoy top-notch dining options such as Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, where guests will enjoy an “immersive dining experience” with signature classics from the famous show including beef wellington, sticky toffee pudding, among other dishes.

In addition, a Wahlburgers is also set to open at Foxwoods at the end of the month, according to the news release. The acclaimed restaurant and bar chain ran by the Wahlberg family will reach Connecticut featuring their signature fast-casual menu filled with flavorful burgers, crispy fries, and refreshing cocktails.

Furthermore, this expansion encompasses a spacious new Bingo Hall and Expo Hall, alongside the eagerly anticipated introduction of the Great Wolf Lodge, scheduled for a grand opening in 2025.

The Pequot Woodlands Casino represents the most recent addition in a series of captivating advancements and enhancements undertaken by Foxwoods in the past year, but there are plans to continue their growth and expansion during the following years.
